About H.O.P.E. Parent Resource Center

H.O.P.E (Having Opportunities while Parenting Effectively)

Founded in 2012, the HOPE Parent Resource Center is a volunteer-led nonprofit serving families in South Haven and across Van Buren County. Our mission focuses on advancing healthy births and increasing parent knowledge of child growth and development through education, material support, and strong community partnerships.

While we are currently open to the public one day per week, our work continues throughout the year by supporting local professionals, home visitors, and community groups with essential materials and topic-based education that reach families where they already receive care and support.

Our Diaper Bank and Period Pantry, offer families in need with access to diapers, wipes, supplemental period supplies and other necessities while also receiving education that supports healthy development and safe caregiving. Families are also welcome to stop in on Mondays to explore our wall of parenting resources, offering trusted information to support them during pregnancy and early childhood.

Check out the Growing Together Pregnancy and Parenting Group if you are looking for support, friendship and education.  The group meets monthly.

Our Little Free Library, located outside our building, is open and accessible to the entire community. Families are welcome to take books at no cost, and many community members generously contribute books to help keep the library stocked.

With your support, we can continue providing education and essential resources that help families and babies thrive from the very beginning.
