month from 5:00pm - 7:00pm

Hopeful Beginnings season runs from September through May.  Doors open at 5:00pm allowing you a chance to meet other members and Dinner begins at 5:30pm.  Each week we will have a craft/project, GREAT Conversations and a time to build FRIENDSHIPS with others who know what you are going through.

Finding out you are going to be a parent when you are young can be overwhelming, but we are here to help. If you are pregnant, or raising a young child you don't have to do it alone!

Hopeful Beginnings

Hopeful Beginnings is a FREE NIGHT OUT for moms who are 23 or younger - pregnant or parenting a young child. Dads and partners are often welcome to attend (check our Facebook Page: HOPE Parent Resource Center for scheduled topics and craft/projects. While attending the Hopeful Beginnings program, you will meet others who know what you are going through, have fun participating in a craft or project each month, discuss topics relating to pregnancy and parenting.

► Resource assistance

► One-on-one meetings—topics include: Birthing Classes, Pre-Post Birth Interviews, and Home Visiting Programs

Participation in the program allows you to EARN FREE Diapers and Wipes. We also provide baby supplies according to our monthly topics. All of our services are FREE.

Sharing and Learning

Following our time of getting to know one another from 5:30pm - 6:00pm, we move into our craft/project and educational/support time. Local professionals come to the center to share their knowledge on a variety of pregnancy, parenting, and life skill topics such as: how to have a healthy pregnancy, newborn care, infant crying, sleep issues, child growth and development, baby safety, nutrition, healthy relationships, money management, securing housing, stress, education, community resources, and much more. You will also be given time to share your experiences and ask questions you may have.

Free Baby Supplies

When you attend Hopeful Beginnings, you automatically qualify for FREE diapers and wipes. We also often have giveaways during our time together. You may also want to consider joining our on-line educational program if you want to EARN both small and large Baby Items. You get to watch videos you have chosen in the comfort of your own home, while EARNING points toward the Baby Item you have picked out.

Video-based Parent Education

If a group setting isn’t for you, consider our new online video-based learning.
We have videos on topics related to pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, safe sleep, caring for your infant during their first year of life, and much more. After completing a series of videos, you will EARN items such as a pack-n-play, car seat, 4-in-1 baby bath tub, 3 and 1 ride on, space saver high chair and much more.

FREE Childbirth Classes

If you are 23 or younger you may qualify for FREE childbirth classes through the HOPE Parent Resource Center. We offer one-on-one classes and group settings. Contact Faith Washegesic at (443) 674-3824 to set up a meeting to discuss classes that are currently being offered.

What to Expect at HOPE Parent Resource Center

Just like each person is different, each situation is different. At Hopeful Beginnings, we try to find the similarities in our differences and help each other become better parents. We do this by offering you support, education, and assistance. You also have opportunities to build friendships with other young parents who know what you are going through.
